Samos has dozens of beaches, and the best are reached by car. The north coast — Tsamadou, Lemonakia, Kokkari and Tsambou — offers turquoise water and pine-backed pebble coves; the south and east (Psili Ammos, Kerveli, Mykali, Potokaki) stay calm when the meltemi wind blows from the north. The wild west coast (Potami, Votsalakia, Limnionas) rewards the longer drive, while the white-sand Seitani coves are reached only on foot from Potami. Sunbed sets run about €5–€20, parking near most beaches is free, and standard rental insurance is void on the unpaved tracks to spots like Livadaki — drive those at your own risk. A car lets you switch coasts with the wind for the calmest swim each day.
